Description

The Tamarillo is a fast-growing tub plant with large, heart-shaped leaves, able to grow up to 2 metres in height. Within our regions, it starts to develop pink-coloured flowers from 3rd year on. The fruits require warmth to ripen. Thererfore, a winter garden or greenhouse is ideal for cultivation. The fruits are egg-shaped, dark red, with few bright stripes and weigh 50-100 grams. The juice can be perfectly turned into a sauce for pudding.
