Description
The Cycas – also known locally as the sago palm – has existed for 30 million years. It has fern-like leaves, which, like palm trees, are hard and shiny. As a young plant, the Cycas grows very slowly, producing only one or two fronds per year – a fact that also explains the high prices for cycads. However, it is distinguished by its resilience. The Cycas is native to Southeast Asia.
