Description
The dark purple-flowering magnolia is not threatened by spring frosts because, unlike other magnolias, it blooms late in April and May, even after it has already begun to form leaves. The leaves are egg-shaped. Reblooming is often possible. The purple magnolia reaches a height of 3-5 m and usually grows a similar width. This large shrub is deciduous and sheds its leaves in winter.This magnolia originates from China.
