20450 Poincirus trifoliata var. monstrosa – Trifoliate orange “Flying Dragon”

5.00

Packet Content: 10 seeds

Description

The Poincirus is native to China and Japan. It grows exceptionally slowly and is winter-hardy. Its large blossoms have a pleasant fragrance, while the small, orange fruits (self-fertile) are slightly fuzzy and practically inedible. The leaves are glossy and trifoliate (three-lobed). The branches are twisted and equipped with strong, backward-curving thorns. This citrus plant responds particularly well to pruning, growing to only about 1.5-2 meters tall in 10 years. Another highlight can be admired in autumn when the leaves turn many vibrant shades of yellow and orange.
