Description
The perennial, evergreen white strelitzia belongs to the Banana family and is the largest plant of its kind. This plant will grow up to 10 m tall within its natural habitat and produces leathery, dark green leaves arranged in a fan-like display. It is also known under the name “White Bird of Paradise”. The pure-white flowers are carried by boat-like peduncles with a pink bract. The shrub develops a rhizome and is a very robust, space-loving tub plant.
