Description
Tamarix ramosissima is a hardy shrub or small tree native to Europe and Asia. The robust shrubs and small trees are ideal for keeping in containers. They are hardy, elegant and tolerate long dry periods. On its overhanging branches there are scale-like, tiny blue-green leaves that are equipped with salt glands. From early summer to autumn there are countless, almost 20 cm long stems covered with rose-pink flowers. By pruning after flowering, the plant can be kept compact and small. Even in nature it only reaches a height of around 4-8 m when fully grown.
