Description
This exotic rarety, also known as flame lily, gloriosa superba or glory lily, is a climbing, long-lasting (perennial) shrub from Africa. With the help of climbing supports they are able to grow up to 120-200 cm in height producing plenty of lemon yellow coloured flowers from mid June until the end of August. The plant withers after flowering, does however sprout even more beautiful the following year. It can be grown in pots, tubs, window boxes, on the terrace, in the winter garden or in a room. The splendid looking flowers last well even when used as cut flowers.
