Description
The largest of all tree-shaped species comes from the highlands of the Andes. There she mainly lives in Colombia and Venezuela. It grows there in regions at 2000-3000 m altitude and is therefore very resistant. Their flower color is yellow, but the coloring can have all kinds of nuances. So it may appear golden yellow – cream yellow – sulfur yellow – or in golden yellow and white yellow. Its botanical name `aurea` stands for golden. The flowers are trumpet-shaped and 15-20 cm long. As with all Brugmansia, the location should be bright to sunny, but protected from the strong midday sun.
