This australian evergreen shrub or small tree (0.50 to 1.50 meters) belongs to the myrtle family It produces nice flowers, most of the time red in colour, with long stamens resembling a lamp or bottle brush. He is an ideal container plant and grows lanceolate leaves which emit a refreshing scent of lemon when pressed. Callistemon loves a bright and sunny place.
