Description

The river red gum, which is how the Australians call this fast-growing eucalyptus (12 to 15 metres within several years), is always found in wet regions, near rivers or watercourses. It develops taproots enabling the plant to store water for a long time. Even 2 months old seedlings are able to survive in standing water for four weeks. So this is a plant you can’t water too much. This species produces majestic, single stems and can become between 500 and 1000 years old.
