Description
This probably most beautiful and tallest boabab can be found in Morombe and Morondava in the West of Madagascar. Majestically it stretches about 25 metres towards the sky. Its trunk is slender, reddish gray and fragrant. The crown grows flat and the large, white flowers mostly open at night. CuItivated as a pot or tub plant, it does need little water during summer and extremely little water from autumn until spring. The baobab sheds its leaves during periods of dryness.
