Description
The evergreen, about 60 to 100 cm upright growing myrtle is a real eye-catcher for the pot or tub culture. It forms many white – cream-colored flowers with a slight coloring in pink. The leaves are smaller and much firmer, turn reddish in winter and the branches remain shorter than the bridal myrtle. All parts of the flowers are aromatic and the rubbing of the leaves develops a very pleasant aromatic scent. The longer flowering period begins in early May and extends until the end of August. In unit soil with good drainage as well as a bright to sunny stand the Myrthe grows wonderfully and tolerates even longer drought.
