Description
This exceptional variety can be obtained from specific markets only. It is very popular in Japan and is used for tempura. The plant grows tall and upright. The fruits are thin-walled and mild when being green. If they do turn red, they will taste rather sweetish hot. In Asian cuisine, these peppers are mostly cooked when being green. They are used as a whole in stews or of course rolled in dough and fried (as tempura).
