Description
The beautiful plant from the mallow family is known by various names. It is called roselle or can also be found under the name Sabdariff marshmallow, African mallow or Sudan marshmallow and is the only mallow used in the production of hibiscus tea. It is a very popular soft drink in the hot temperatures in Africa. African hibiscus is a wonderful annual ornamental plant that produces white flowers in August and September / October. The attractive red, small and fleshy calyxes are also ornamental.
