Description

80 days. This delicious melon was bred by Father Athanase of the Trappist Monastery at La Trappe, Quebec around 1912. He crossed the green fleshed Montreal Market melon with a Banana melon. The result is an early, sweet, orange-fleshed melon with a netted rind, 2-3 kg. It almost disappeared but was rediscovered growing on Bizard Island in Quebec.
