An unusual shaped purple Heirloom variety from Texas, USA. The 7 – 8 cm, 250 to 350 gr. tomatoes are very flat and ribbed. Fruit has a deep-purple / chocolate-brown color when mature. They have a very rich, sweet and tart flavor. Fantastic in salads for both its flavor and stunning color. This tomato resembles tomatoes pictured in 16th-century herbal diaries.
