This superb chili is from Southern Europe and especially suited for processing salsa (sauces), for dipping or barbecue. Because of its strong flavour, the hotness is nevertheless still pleasant (pungency level 5-6). The plant grows compact and strong and produces fruits after about 64 days. The fruits can be harvested both when green or when red. Since the 30’s, the lipstick-red, bright and 10-15 cm long peppers are considered to be the best large and red chilis ever known.
