Description
A well-known, large tree Yucca, originally from southeastern Mexico to Panama, that has long been popular as a magnificent landscaping plant in Mediterranean regions and as a house plant in colder climates. The species is still most widely known in the horticultural literature as Yucca elephantipes. Its flower, the izote, is the national flower of El Salvador.
