The Silver Date Palm is a rare, fast-growing species and has a much more slender trunk than the Canary Date Palm. Its leaf fronds are elegantly arched, blue-green and form a full, dense leaf crown. It is still quite unknown in cultivation, but just as easy to care for as other Phoenix species. It is also called Indian forest palm because it originates from India, Nepal and Pakistan. In nature, it grows to a height of 10-15 and stands out with its typical and dense palm tuft.
