The Zapotec tomato is an heirloom variety originating from Mexico and takes its name from the Zapotec Indians who cultivated it. The fruits ripen to a dark red and are distinguished by their unusual shape. The 500 gr ribbed fruits are excellent for eating fresh. They are very decorative when sliced lengthwise. Wonderfully sweet in flavor.
